Unsafe around the edgesThe lake has risen almost two feet in the past couple weeks. The ice is now surrounded by about two feet of new, very thin ice. Be careful out there.

Ice Fishing, where?

Aside from not knowing what town Pawtuckaway Lake is in, this article has some interesting info on ice fishing in the extended Pawtuckaway area. Seacoast Online:

N. H. Fish and Game’s Mark Beauchesne, makes a case for taking a few minutes in the car to explore a wider range of ponds and lakes. He says there are at least 30 ice-fishable bodies of water within "45 minutes of Durham," including Pawtuckaway Lake and Onway Lake, both in Raymond. Beauchesne also notes wryly that access is even easier in winter.

The Pawtuckaway State Park parking lot was overflowing with snowmobilers last weekend. This weekend is shaping up to be even busier.
